Publication Agon: Poetry’S Challenge To The Mathematization of Reality (1920S-1960S)Agon narrates the battle for truth-telling authority between poetry and mathematics in the modernist period (between the 1920s and 1960s). Analysing its subversive uses of mathematical metaphors, this book argues that modernism posed the last serious challenge to the Empire of Mathematics, whose authority to determine for all the nature of reality had steadily grown from Newton to Einstein. The book’s protagonists are William Empson, Laura Riding, Charles Olson, W.B. Yeats, and Michael Roberts, though many others will play smaller roles in the contest. Agon introduces a new paradigm of criticism to interdisciplinary studies in the humanities. It casts the different faculties as not co-existing peacefully but rather as engaged in a perpetual struggle for supremacy. The book traces the rise of mathematics, supplanting philosophy, poetry, and the other arts, as the language in which reality would be described from the seventeenth century onwards, looking at the role of calculus, quaternions, Riemannian manifolds, non-Euclidean geometry, analysis, mathematical logic, and more. The book performs close readings of mathematical poems that bring to the fore a lack in the mathematical picture of reality. The poems will in turn prosecute a reflexive argument about poetry’s role in filling those gaps and presenting a richer version of reality. Rather than posing poetry as passive receptacle of mathematical ideas, as the influence-tracing method in literary criticism demands, the agon allows for an intense contestation of poetic and mathematical modes and their claims to truth through careful attention to the playfulness and subversiveness animating cross-disciplinary interaction. © Anirudh Sridhar 2025. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Publication Artificial Intelligence And Machine Learning For Industry 4.0(Wiley, 2025) ;Thirunavukkarasan, M. ;Sahaaya Arul Mary, S. A. ;Sathiyaraj, R. ;Pradeep Ghantasala, G. S.Khan, MudassirThis book is essential for any leader seeking to understand how to leverage intelligent automation and predictive maintenance to drive innovation, enhance productivity, and minimize downtime in their manufacturing processes. Intelligent automation is widely considered to have the greatest potential for Industry 4.0 innovations for corporations. Industrial machinery is increasingly being upgraded to intelligent machines that can perceive, act, evolve, and interact in an industrial environment. The innovative technologies featured in this machinery include the Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, and artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence enables computer systems to learn from experience, adapt to new input data, and perform intelligent tasks. The significance of AI is not found in its computational models, but in how humans can use them. Consistently observing equipment to keep it from malfunctioning is the procedure of predictive maintenance. Predictive maintenance includes a periodic maintenance schedule and anticipates equipment failure rather than responding to equipment problems. Currently, the industry is struggling to adopt a viable and trustworthy predictive maintenance plan for machinery. The goal of predictive maintenance is to reduce the amount of unanticipated downtime that a machine experiences due to a failure in a highly automated manufacturing line. In recent years, manufacturing across the globe has increasingly embraced the Industry 4.0 concept. Greater solutions than those offered by conventional maintenance are promised by machine learning, revealing precisely how AI and machine learning-based models are growing more prevalent in numerous industries for intelligent performance and greater productivity. This book emphasizes technological developments that could have great influence on an industrial revolution and introduces the fundamental technologies responsible for directing the development of innovative firms. Decision-making requires a vast intake of data and customization in the manufacturing process, which managers and machines both deal with on a regular basis. One of the biggest issues in this field is the capacity to foresee when maintenance of assets is necessary. Leaders in the sector will have to make careful decisions about how, when, and where to employ these technologies. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Industry 4.0offers contemporary technological advancements in AI and machine learning from an Industry 4.0 perspective, looking at their prospects, obstacles, and potential applications. © 2025 Scrivener Publishing LLC. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Publication Enhanced Vgg19 Model for Accurate Brain Tumor Prediction(2023 International Conference on Network, Multimedia and Information Technology, NMITCON 2023, 2023) ;D, Vetrithangam; ;P, Nareshkumar ;B, Arunadevi ;Fathima, AzraA., Ramesh KumarOne of the most serious diseases for both adults and children is a brain tumor. Through the scans, a substantial amount of image data is produced. The radiologist reviews these images to detect the abnormality. Due to the complexity of brain tumors and their features, a manual examination may be mistakeprone. To visualize the brain and spot any abnormal growths, many imaging techniques are used. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the method that works best to identify brain tumors. Predicting brain tumors from MRI images also contributes to medical research and the development of more sophisticated predictive models. This continuous improvement in technology can lead to better diagnostic tools and more effective treatment options for brain tumor patients. The existing models exhibit significant shortcomings concerning explanation, interpretability, computational complexity, and accuracy. In order to overcome the drawbacks available in the existing techniques, this research work proposes the Enhanced VGG19 model by improving the convolutional neural network layers, fully connected layers, and weights of the layers and applying effective preprocessing techniques to the datasets to predict brain tumors from MRI images with high accuracy and less computation time. The proposed model produced an accuracy of 99.72% and performed better than the existing techniques. © 2023 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Publication Genome-Wide Identification and Characterisation of Aquaporins in Rosa Chinensis(The Journal of Horticultural Science and Biotechnology, 26-10-2023) ;Mandlik, Rushil ;Sharma, Shivani ;Rout, Priyadarshini ;Singh, Shweta ;Raturi, Gaurav ;Rana, Nitika ;Sonah, Humira ;Deshmukh, Rupesh ;Shivaraj, S M ;Nanda, SatyabrataKawar, Prashant GAquaporins (AQPs) are small integral membrane proteins that facilitate the efficient transport of small solutes like water, metalloids, urea, and CO2 across the membrane. Plant aquaporins are known to be involved in vital physiological processes like seed germination, stomatal movement, cell elongation, and reproductive growth. In the present study, 36 AQPs were identified through genome-wide computational analysis performed in the rose genome. Subsequent phylogenetic analysis classified the AQPs into five subfamilies, including 10 Plasma membrane intrinsic proteins (PIPs), 8 Tonoplast intrinsic proteins (TIPs), 9 Nodulin intrinsic proteins (NIPs), 3 Small intrinsic proteins (SIPs), and 6 uncharacterised intrinsic proteins (XIPs). Based on the prediction of silicon solute specificity, one of the NIPs is predicted to be a silicon transporter. Structural analysis revealed the characteristic six trans-membrane domains and two-half alpha helix harbouring two conserved NPA motifs in the majority of the predicted AQPs. The protein tertiary structures predicted with homology-based modelling were used to study the pore lining remains and to predict the solute transport activity of the AQPs. Expression profiling of the rose AQPs showed tissue-specific expression of many members. The data provided here will help in understanding the AQP-based solute transport system in roses and other related species. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
