Abstract
The Biometric Voting System is aimed to modernize state elections as voters can cast their votes safely from the nearest booth irrespective of their registered constituency. The system offers proper and secure verification of a voter with the use of high-tech biometric technologies like fingerprint authentication and facial recognition. Modules in use were the Web Camera, R307 Optical Fingerprint Reader, RFID, and microcontroller, including Raspberry Pi. Aadhaar integration makes the voters details easily accessible and thus helps improve the authenticity and credibility of the authentication process. The system prevents duplication of voting by making use of real-time data processing and secure communication protocols. It provides access to voters at distant locations, maintains the privacy of the voters, and thereby makes the approach adopted by the system much more efficient, secure, and convenient in electoral processes. Thus, it is a strong solution for modern democratic practices. © 2024 IEEE.
