Abstract
“Business Model Innovation (BMI)” is an important performance indicator for digital startups. However, startups with novel business ideas still face the pressure to survive. BMI is a hot topic in both the research community and the corporate world. This study examines the importance of “business model innovation (BMI)” for digital startups. BMI is important for a company’s success and survival. Digital innovation has redefined the approaches to creating value in this day and age covering several novel approaches. However, there is still a lack of knowledge of how the BMI efforts of a startup ensure the best performance in today’s world. Considering the above gaps, this study aims to analyze the impact of BMI on “the performance of digital startups. in addition, this study will provide new insights about business model innovation with the proliferation of digital technologies. To fulfill this objective, this study will be based on primary data from an online survey conducted using Google Forms and a questionnaire based on a 5-point Likert scale. This study contributes to the existing knowledge related to business models by determining the impact of innovation in business models on a company’s performance. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
