Abstract
In this chapter, a review of Kevlar fabrics laminates applied in shielding armors for ballistic utilizations like bulletproof components is exhibited. It explores combining the outcomes and employing Kevlar fabric laminates as a substitute to complete natural laminate applied for similar utilizations. Kevlar is a synthetic fabric that has attained global interest because of its vast applications in industrial sectors. In recent years, the fabrication of laminates has been performed by scientists, researchers, and engineers worldwide have shifted from generally available glass to Kevlar fabrics. As an outcome, noticeable progress has been produced in Kevlar fabric reinforced laminates for different industrial applications over the recent decade. In-depth information on this fabric and its respective laminate is necessary right now to attain better outcomes. It is mainly applied in consolidation with other components and plays as an efficient laminate. The intensity of this investigation was on current developments in Kevlar fabric reinforced polymer-based composites. This chapter offers insights into the significant research, specifically from aerospace to ballistic applications. © 2022 Nova Science Publishers, Inc. All rights reserved.
